Making money with Adsense has been discussed many times. But do you know how you can improve your earnings tremendously with little effort?

Earning pennies per click, that is what I hear when Adsense is discussed. But by following some easy steps you can increase your earnings.

Location
Your location of where you place your Adsense is one of the most important things if you want to improve your earnings. The best place to put your AdSense is above the fold, where the eye first hits the page, and close to the content.

Example, when a visitor comes to your website the first thing they will do is scan your website from left to right. A good placed Adsense ad where the eye first looks should increase your click through rate for that ad.

Another great place to put your ad is within the content itself. The reason why this works is because your visitor will be drawn automatically to the ad while reading your content, increasing the chances that they click on the ad.

Text or Image
For the niches I’m in text works better than image and it pays more per click to. The best thing to do is to test both on your site for a week.

Ad Size
Size matters, in content I use the 300 x 250 ad, left aligned. For the sidebar I use the 160 X 600 ad.

Too Many Ads
Placing to many ads on your website will reduce your earnings per click. Why? I do not know for sure, but there are two explanations I can give you:
Click through rate affects your earnings. The higher your ctr the more you make per click. Having to many ads on your website automatically lowers your ctr.

Your Adsense code position in html plays an important role to. The highest ad in your html gets the most preference from Google. So lets say you have an ad in your header, one in the sidebar, and one in your content, you got a problem.

If the ad in your content gets clicked on the most, you will make the least, because this ad is the third ad in your html code.

Build Pagerank
Pagerank has played a role for me to. While I was advertising using google content search, I was advertising on some crappy websites. Just for fun I increased my bids more than 100% and all of a sudden I was appearing on sites like about.com.

Clicks That Pay
Of course you need to go for clicks that pay you a lot. No use in going for clicks that only pay a couple of pennies.

Split testing
Always test different ads for a week or two. This is easy to do. Keep the good one and lose the dud. Use a website like splittester.com to see if you need more data or not.

Follow these steps and you be making moeny with AdSense. In the future I will discus what not to do.

If you have been doing affiliate marketing for a while now, you might have moderate to great progress on making money online. If you are looking for new or different methods to promote offers, give PPC Coach a try.

Creativity Is A Must
You need to be creative when you want to promote offers and PPC Coach teaches you this. If everybody is promoting an offer using google adwords, you should try promoting it in google adwords, also. But you should also test the offer using different search engines and even second tier ppc search engines.

If you want to get even more exposure, you could try social media websites, media buying, or the content networks.

Because affiliate marketing changes so quick, I have subscribed to blogs that discus affiliate marketing, PPC, etc.

First Offer Test

For my first campaign I have been using Yahoo search network and an offer on Azoogle. Did I direct link to the offer or did I use a landing page? The answer is I tested both.

If you are like me you always forget names to different songs. This is not a problem anymore, just hum it and Midomi will search for a song that matches your humming.

But if your terrible at singing or humming do not expect Midomi to help you out.

All you need is a microphone and you are ready to go, but be sure to test your microphone first. Sing as many songs as your voice can handle and save them. Then you can let your friends listen and rate your songs.

If you like certain songs you hear, you can buy them through Midomi. So sing your heart out and you might appear on Midomi’s homepage, which gives you a lot of exposure.

Find out information about anybody you know using Wink People Search. Wink, the self proclaimed world’s largest people search engine, scans websites and databases to look for a match.

It even retrieves social website profiles, like Facebook and Myspace. It works quite well, I was able to find a couple of people I know.

You can refine your search if you get to many results. You can also download a search plugin for your browser, making it easier do a search.

If you join Wink you can link your Wink Profile to your website or blog.

Be careful with what you put online about yourself. Websites like Wink, Spock, etc make it easy for somebody to retrieve information about you, which is available for free.

This information can include anything you put on any social websites (address, phone number, workplace, school, etc).

Kartoo is a visual meta search engine. You can see how sites are linked to each other with a short description or how certain words link to a site.

Meta search engine means that Kartoo grabs results from various search engines, like Yahoo and Google.

Your search results are displayed on the map and you can select the language for the interface below.
Also, different extensions have a different color paper. Red is .com, green is .net, yellow is .org.

This is a good website to use if you are spying on your competition and want to see their backlinks.

The site reminds me of the time when I had my Sega master system.

I always did that trick where sonic went so fast that the screen could not follow him. Or when I played the harder levels, as Sonic, with a friend, who was Tails, and let him finish off Dr. Robotnik.

Piclens is a cool and free 3d search plug-in for your browser that’s lets you navigate pictures or video in a gallery style fashion. The interface has a black background and with your mouse you can scroll from left to right and near to far.

Piclens sorts all the pictures and video your search finds in google, flickr, smugmug, photobucket, yahoo, or deviantart and displays them.

A cool feature is that you can even search and watch youtube videos. The Piclens search box is in the top right corner.

Hover over a picture and click the play button to start, like shown in the left picture.

A cool feature would be to be able to change the background color or to access social website profiles (myspace, blackplanet etc.)

With cool options like using it as your own screensaver, watching pictures full screen and using it as a search. It basically does not get any better then this (if it does hit me up with an email).
